Kevin Fleming

Founder & CEO

Kevin is the founder and CEO of Writing.io, an award-winning platform that accelerates the adoption of artificial intelligence through industry-leading education, secure playgrounds, and a suite of powerful tools.

With an extensive background in building early-stage companies, software development, and machine learning, Kevin is incredibly passionate about helping others discover and leverage the power of AI and the latest generation of large language models.

Under his leadership, Writing.io has grown to empower tens of thousands of professionals and organizations, including Fortune 100 companies - accelerating  adoption and real-world implementations of artificial intelligence.

Kevin enjoys exploring Southwest Florida by boat, soaking in the beauty and diversity of the region's many ecosystems and abundant wildlife, and occasionally catching dinner along the way.

Amanda Scheibner

Chief Learning Officer

Amanda Scheibner is a co-founder of Writing.io and currently leads the development of the interactive AI education platform as the Chief Learning Officer.

At Writing.io, Amanda built the education framework and interactive learning experiences, designed to help accelerate real-world implementations of artificial intelligence through award-winning education.

Amanda holds an undergraduate degree in English, a Master’s degree in Composition and Rhetoric, and a Teaching Certification from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

When she’s not at her bay-window desk, Amanda loves cuddling up with her little dog, Minnie, spending time out in the Florida sunshine, and traveling with her partner.  Her favorite travel destinations include Florence, Italy, Tokyo, Japan, and Captiva Island, Florida.

Ryan Fleming

Co-Founder

Ryan Fleming is a co-founder of Writing.io, and currently leads operations and our customer success team.

Ryan has a background centered around building early-stage companies and working with AI systems, and is adept at wearing many hats. He is passionate about empowering Writing.io to quickly move into new verticals, jumping into wherever needed to ensure the success of our rapidly growing team.

In his spare time, Ryan enjoys watching football, reviewing video games, producing music, painting, and eating pizza.

Jason Gagne

Chief Technical Officer

Jason Gagne currently serves at the Chief Technology Officer at Writing.io, where he leads development of the award-winning education platform and AI powered services.

He has a deep level of knowledge and experience building complex, web-based applications, and has served as CTO or similar of several successful companies throughout his career, including at ParentSquare where he served as Chief Architect.

Jason is also a father, husband, writer, artist and endurance athlete. He lives in Santa Barbara, California, where he and his wife homeschool their two children.

Niels Kohl

Chief Financial Officer

Niels Kohl brings over 30 years of extensive financial leadership to Writing.io and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer.

Most recently, he served as CFO at ConnexPay, where he directed financial strategy, accounting, and operations. His experience also includes four years as Segment CFO at ACI Worldwide, overseeing full P&L management across their Banks, Merchants, and Billers segments.

Earlier in his career, Niels spent 30 years at IBM, holding numerous CFO roles across Hardware, Software, and Services. During his tenure, he notably spearheaded SaaS acquisitions, led IBM's Cloud business, and drove the development of IBM's Blockchain initiatives.

Niels holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a Master of Science in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from the University of Vermont.

Niels resides in Naples, Florida, with his wife and is the proud parent of two adult children. In his leisure time, he enjoys pickleball, tennis, and boating, with a particular passion for sailing.

Kelsey Evans

Head of Partner Success

Kelsey is the Head of Partner Success at Writing.io and works directly with an extensive network of industry leading partners to expand AI training and integrations.

Over the last few years, Kelsey has also worked at Writing.io to build engaging and interactive education programs centered around AI, that have reached tens of thousands of professionals and companies of all shapes and sizes.  

She has found that the key to her past success has been creating and growing relationships with executives and professionals at every level.

Kelsey graduated with a degree in business communications, and most of her 15-year career has been within the marketing field – whether that’s been working directly for clients, for pro teams, for agencies, or for small businesses.

In her spare time, Kelsey loves traveling to new places (and finding the best coffee spots in town), rowing on the Schuylkill River, and reading the next book on her never-ending TBR list.

Mel Kimmel

Government Affairs

Mel Kimmel currently serves as the Lead Advisor for Government Affairs at Writing.io.

Mel Kimmel is an accomplished executive liaison with extensive experience in both government and private sectors, specializing in government relations, strategic planning, and project management spanning over 15 years.

While stationed overseas in Bucharest Romania, Mel served as a key diplomat attaché, managing high-level diplomatic events and developing operational strategies to foster positive government relations. In this capacity, she worked closely with head-of-state officials and government representatives, strengthening bilateral relations and advancing U.S. interests.

Mel’s career reflects her strong leadership capabilities, a focus on operational excellence, and a commitment to building enduring relationships.

Mel resides in Kentucky with her family. She enjoys the best of Kentucky with their bourbon, horses, and sports!

Michelle Strasburger

Human Resources

Michelle Strasburger currently serves as the Lead Advisor for Human Resources and People at Writing.io.

Michelle Strasburger, is a Human Resources Executive and a thought leader in the HR space.

With over 23 years of progressive HR experience, Michelle works with organizations on training their teams to embrace new technologies like artificial intelligence, while also creating winning cultures of trust and psychological safety.

Michelle is passionate about Human Resources and spends time giving back to the field and developing HR Professionals.

Michelle also serves as a fractional Chief People Officer, is the founder and facilitator of The HR Rebels, and a board member of Human Resources Pro.

Michelle lives in Colebrook, NH with her husband, two boys, dogs and chickens. They enjoy being outdoors hiking, fishing, swimming ATVing and snowmobiling.

Madeline Ricci

Entrepreneur in Residence

Madeline Ricci currently serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Writing.io.

Madeline Ricci is the CEO and Founder of BNN Services, an accomplished International Master Coach, and a dedicated philanthropist. With an impressive entrepreneurial journey spanning over 16 years and an additional 18 years of corporate experience, Madeline has built an 8-figure enterprise driven by innovation, resilience, and transformational leadership.

Her work has been widely recognized by prominent publications including Society Life Magazine, Dallas Business Journal, and Franchise Magazine. Additionally, CIO Views honored her as a Top 10 Visionary Entrepreneur.

Beyond her professional accolades, Madeline is deeply committed to philanthropy, notably raising over $1.2 million as co-chair for a local non-profit. She actively engages with the American Board of Hypnotherapy, American Board of NLP, Timeline Therapy Association, and the Association for Coaching, further highlighting her dedication to continuous personal and professional growth.

Madeline enjoys networking, golfing with her husband and business partner David J Ricci, exploring quantum physics, and prioritizing self-care through strength training and boxing.

David Ricci

Corporate Development & Strategy

David Ricci currently serves as the Lead Advisor for Corporate Development & Strategy.

With over two decades of experience in senior leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, David combines corporate insights with an innovative entrepreneurial approach, successfully launching and scaling multiple ventures.

David specializes in building robust strategies, streamlined processes, and impactful professional relationships that drive growth at every scale. He is also a seasoned entrepreneur and accomplished executive, dedicated to mentoring entrepreneurs to achieve lasting success.  

David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management along with certifications in Paralegal Studies and Mediation, and serves on the National Small Business Association Leadership Council.

David is Married to his wife Madeline Ricci. They live in Texas and have two wonderful children. He enjoys reading, playing golf, being with his family, and mostly he loves to travel and take on new adventures (business and fun) with Madeline.

Amanda Ripple

Community Manager

Amanda Ripple currently serves as the Community Manager at Writing.io

Amanda Ripple is a seasoned copywriter and ESL educator with over a decade of experience. Originally from Washington, D.C. and an alumna of Towson University, she now resides in Italy, where she draws inspiration from her surroundings.

Amanda specializes in empowering business professionals worldwide, enhancing their language skills and unlocking new executive opportunities. Her deep understanding of non-native speakers' challenges drives her commitment to their success. In addition to her teaching career, Amanda is a wellness coach who advocates for holistic wellness, helping clients achieve balance and happiness in their lives.

She is also passionate about artificial intelligence, viewing it as the language of the future and continuously learning to bridge gaps between diverse communities. Amanda's mission is to inspire others to reach their full potential through writing, teaching, and coaching, navigating the intersection of human potential and technology.

In Amanda's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her two young daughters. She also loves traveling, reading a good book, and honing her writing skills. Outdoor activities and sports play a big role in her life.
