The Next.js team builds the open source framework that powers millions of applications and shapes how developers build for the web. Our work sits at the intersection of React, framework architecture, developer experience, infrastructure, performance, and production reliability.
We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to help build and lead a team working on Next.js. This is a hands-on player/coach role for an experienced engineer who wants to remain close to the code while helping a small team do its best work.
You will be an engineer first and a manager second. You will contribute directly to the framework, lead major technical initiatives, review code, debug complex production issues, and help make architectural decisions. You will also support the engineers around you through clear direction, thoughtful feedback, and practical coaching.
This is not a traditional people management role. You will spend the majority of your time on technical leadership and engineering execution. You should be comfortable owning difficult parts of the codebase while creating enough context and clarity for others to move quickly.
You will work closely with Product, Design, and engineers across Vercel to guide the evolution of Next.js across rendering, caching, routing, build systems, and developer tooling.

Designs and builds data platform architecture, pipelines, and warehouse infrastructure while leading a small team of data engineers.
MotorK sits at the intersection of deep vertical complexity - automotive SaaS, 10,000+ dealerships, enterprise-grade requirements - and a company that has gone all-in on AI as its primary engine of scale. We believe vertical SaaS captures the most value from AI, and none of that value is reachable unless the data underneath it is modeled, governed and engineered right.
The Data Architect & Engineering Lead owns the architecture, engineering practice and delivery of MotorKâs data platform. This is a hands-on, build-and-lead role: you will design and build the data models, pipelines and warehouse architecture yourself, while setting technical direction and raising the bar for a small team of two data engineers. You inherit a real platform and a real team, and you are expected to raise the ceiling on both.
â˘Â     Deep, hands-on expertise in data modeling and data architecture.
â˘Â     Strong production experience with a cloud data warehouse: BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or equivalent.
â˘Â     Top-tier, hands-on experience with dbt, Airflow and Airbyte in real production environments.
â˘Â     Strong Python skills applied to data engineering pipelines and tooling.
â˘Â     Familiarity with modern data engineering concepts, with a genuine interest in where the field - including agentic AI - is heading.
â˘Â     Kafka or other streaming technologies is a strong plus.
â˘Â     Proven ability to technically lead engineers - through mentorship, code review and architectural decision-making - while remaining hands-on.
â˘Â     Clear communicator able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
â˘Â     Bias to action - moves fast on incomplete information, ships and iterates rather than waiting for the perfect plan.
What you do:
â˘Â     Own end-to-end data modeling architecture across the platform, balancing scalability, performance and maintainability.
â˘Â     Define and evolve the target architecture for data infrastructure - warehouse, transformation and orchestration layers - and the roadmap to get there.
â˘Â     Bring modern data engineering practices and patterns into how MotorK designs, builds and governs its data estate.
â˘Â     Manage and optimize the cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake or equivalent), owning performance, cost and reliability.
â˘Â     Design and build production-grade pipelines using dbt, Airflow and Airbyte, with TOP-tier hands-on ownership of these tools.
â˘Â     Write production Python for pipeline development, tooling and automation.
â˘Â     Architect infrastructure that supports both batch and, increasingly, streaming use cases (Kafka or equivalent stream technologies a plus).
â˘Â     Bring agentic AI concepts into how the data platform is architected and operationalized - from pipeline automation to data-driven agent use cases.
â˘Â     Evaluate where AI-assisted tooling can remove manual, repetitive work from the data engineering lifecycle.
â˘Â     Lead, mentor and set technical direction for a team of 2 data engineers - hands-on code review, pairing and architectural guidance.
â˘Â     Raise the bar on engineering standards: data quality, testing, documentation and delivery predictability.
â˘Â     Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.

Lead front-end technical direction and architecture decisions while mentoring a distributed team and shipping features for enterprise mobility platforms.

This role is based at the Companyâs headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA and requires you to be onsite 3x/week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). We will only consider candidates already based in the Bay Area.
Who You Are:
Weâre hiring our first HQ-based web development engineer, a Staff Front End Engineer who will lead front end technical direction for ZĹŤm while staying hands-on as an individual contributor. This role operates as a technical lead; youâll set technical direction, make front end architecture decisions, and lead a team of engineers in Ukraine, while still writing code and shipping features yourself.
Youâll own the front end behind our dispatch, school, vendor, and maps portals â enterprise, data-dense tools that districts, transportation vendors, and internal operations teams rely on to run complex logistics.
Youâll work from HQ, in close collaboration with our local Product and Engineering teams. The Ukraine Front End teamâs hours overlap with HQ until roughly 11am PT, so this role doesnât require working offshore hours.
Weâre looking for an engineer who leads through the work itself, not just the title. Someone who can absorb a tech lead role and immediately make the team better, while staying comfortable that product direction, at least for now, comes primarily from our PM and backend teams. This isnât a fit for someone who wants full front end product ownership from day one. Itâs a fit for someone who finds real satisfaction in technical craft, mentorship, and making a distributed team sharper, and whoâs excited to bring AI tooling into how we build.

Sets technical direction and leads multi-year infrastructure initiatives for database SDKs and storage abstractions used across hundreds of services at Stripe.
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companiesâfrom the worldâs largest enterprises to the most ambitious startupsâuse Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyoneâs reach while doing the most important work of your career.
The Storage Abstractions (STAX) team builds the software layer through which Stripe services access stored data. We own the database SDKs that hundreds of Ruby and Java services use to read and write data safely, reliably, and efficiently without needing to understand the underlying database, routing, or operational complexity.
Our work creates leverage across Stripe: by providing stable interfaces and safeguards at the storage layer, we help teams build products with confidence while enabling Stripeâs data architecture to evolve. Alongside engineers, we are designing for AI agents as customers of this foundation, making storage capabilities discoverable, interoperable, and safe to use across languages and storage backends.
As a Staff Software Engineer on STAX, you will set technical direction and lead multi-year initiatives at the intersection of developer infrastructure, data access, and AI. You will work hands-on with engineers across Stripe to make storage access simpler, safer, and more interoperable, while helping product and infrastructure teams evolve their systems without fleet-wide migrations.
You will help turn Stripeâs AI strategy into practical developer infrastructure by treating AI agents as customers of the storage layer. This is an opportunity to build frameworks and interfaces that make complex storage operations discoverable, interoperable, and safe for both human developers and agentic workflows, while raising the quality bar for systems used throughout Stripe.
Weâre looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
We donât expect deep expertise in every dimension above, but genuine curiosity about any of the areas that are less familiar is important to us.
