  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts, secure API integration patterns, or connecting AI applications to enterprise tools and data sources.
  • Experience working in an agile software-development environment.
  • Interest in enterprise consulting, digital transformation, and applying AI to real-world business challenges.

What You Will Gain

  • Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade generative and agentic AI solutions, including Claude-powered applications where appropriate.
  • Exposure to Anthropic-aligned practices for prompt and context engineering, RAG, tool use, structured outputs, model evaluation, and responsible AI.
  • Experience across the end-to-end lifecycle of AI product and solution development—from discovery and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Engineer Software Engineer 1 (Full-Stack) at Prometheum

Full-stack software engineer builds and ships features across TypeScript/Node backend and React frontend, using AI coding tools while maintaining code quality in a regulated fintech environment.

Junior Remote Posted 15 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Us:-

Prometheum is building the market infrastructure that brings securities onto the blockchain. Our SEC-registered broker-dealer network carries a digital asset through its entire life, from issuance and distribution to qualified custody, correspondent clearing, and secondary market trading, all within U.S. securities law.

That work has put us first more than once. We became the first SEC-registered special purpose broker-dealer, and the first to trade ETH inside a traditional brokerage account. Those milestones rest on systems our engineers build every day, and we are searching for engineers like you to help us grow our team.

Role:-

Software Engineer 1 (Full-Stack) - Full Time W2

Salary Range:-

$90,000 to $120,000 + stock options

Overview:-

This is an early-career role for an engineer who wants to grow quickly on a production system where quality matters and the regulatory stakes are real.

As a Software Engineer 1, your job is to build and ship. You will work across our TypeScript/Node back end and React front end, starting with small, clearly defined pieces of work and taking on more as your understanding of the system grows. You will have a dedicated onboarding buddy, a team lead who meets with you weekly, and teammates who pair with you rather than leaving you to figure it out alone.

Our engineering team is fully remote.

Responsibilities:-

  • Ship work across the stack, from bug fixes and small features to test coverage and tech debt, with support from senior engineers
  • Use AI coding tools as a default part of your workflow, and review what they produce with the same rigor you would apply to your own code
  • Trace real requests end-to-end (front end, API, services, database) and build a working mental model of how custody, clearing, and trading fit together
  • Participate in code review, first as a learner asking questions, then as a reviewer who catches edge cases and test gaps
  • Take part in all scrum ceremonies: refinement, sprint kick-off, standup, demos, and retro
  • Work directly with Product, QA, and UX to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ask design questions
  • Investigate and resolve QA/UAT issues, pairing when you need to

Qualifications:-

  • Up to 2 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, and comfort with at least one of Node.js (back end) or React (front end)
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants, plus the judgment to know when their output is wrong
  • Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL
  • Comfort with git-based workflows: branch, PR, review, CI
  • Clear written communication, with a strong command of the English language
  • The instinct to ask for help at the right time
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
  • Able to pass a comprehensive background check, which is required for this role

Nice to have:-

  • Exposure to microservices, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Automated testing experience
  • Any background in finance, brokerage, trading, or blockchain. Genuine curiosity counts more than credentials here.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar

How we work:-

  • Fully remote engineering. We work together in real time, with overlapping hours for pairing, reviews, and ceremonies.
  • AI-forward. We actively champion AI and tooling that ships customer value faster without giving up quality. Engineers at every level are expected to use these tools well and to bring what they find back to the team.
  • Feedback is specific and regular. Quarterly reviews, weekly 1:1s, and a candid conversation when something is not landing, not a surprise at year end.
  • Product-led mindset. We measure work by its impact on customers, not volume shipped.

Benefits:-

  • Health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
  • Stock options
  • Competitive vacation time, paid sick days, and time off for observed federal holidays
  • Equipment provided

Prometheum is an equal opportunity employer. We believe a wide range of perspectives is integral to building a platform that meets the highest regulatory standards while delivering an exceptional user experience. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
